These beautiful Brown Oak standing desks are reclaimed from various estates in England where trees needed to be removed. This oak desktop has had Mylands old English stain applied to it to give it that darker, richer color.
This desk has a real presence and purpose and will look great in any home office. The desk comes fully assembled if you’re in the UK, so all you need to when the courier arrives is tell him which floor it’s going, and all you need to do is plug it in. No kits or a million screws and bolts to fiddle with.
Adjust the desk manually using the up and down buttons, or use one of the 4 height presets. It’s been scientifically proven that the sight and touch of real wood can have a calming effect, and we all need as many stress-reducing things as possible in our lives right now. Simply decorate with a few nice plants, and you’ll be as close to nature while working from home as you can.
I have new stock, so please message me and I can send you a photo of what I have. All slabs will have a minimum of 64 cm up to a depth of 80 cm. Slabs can also be cut so the front is a live edge, and the back would be a straight edge.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will I have to pay an import tax when receiving goods as your shop is in the UK?
You may need to pay import tax if your goods are valued at over $800 or more as my humble shop is located in the UK. For standing desks, the top and the electric frame will be coming in two shipments, so the overall total value of the good will be lower as the legs can enter the country duty-free.
ex: You order a complete standing desk (top and frame) and pay $1600. The legs will be valued at around $700, and the top will be valued at $900. Since shipping is included in the price for both items, I can lower the value of both items and allocate shipping fees to the top and leg frame. Now both items will have a lower value, and therefore you may not need to pay import tax.
How much weight can I put on the ladder shelves?
The shelf is robust and will hold a fair amount of weight, but not designed for extremely heavy objects. Books, bowls, potted plants, and things of that nature are all perfectly fine.
Please keep in mind I am referring above to a ladder shelf made from reclaimed pallet wood that leans against a wall. The solid bookcase made from steel and scaffolding I make can hold as much as you can throw at it.
Why is my stuff taking so long to ship?
A majority of the items are handmade and take a lot of effort. Using reclaimed material means time needs to be spent to fetch, dismantle, wash, and sand the material before I can even start a project. For hardwood projects, the wood is in a raw format which means we need to plane it so it's smooth, remove the bark, and sand, and apply several coats of oil to get it just right. If we're talking about resin desks...well, each piece of wood is unique and it takes time (72 hours or more) for the resin to set in between each pour. I don't want you to chase me, but rest assured my tiny team is doing the best we can to deliver top-quality products to you ASAP.

The desk is gorgeous. Its super solid piece and probably will last 100 years. John was also fantastic to deal with. Super responsive and overall. Just a great thing to have this unique desk here now. ! Highly recommend to anyone who is thinking of getting a live edge standing desk for their work from home setup.
