This gorgeous rustic bed will be the centerpiece of the farmhouse look you may be going for in your bedroom. Each piece is handmade using all reclaimed material (except the bed slats which are made from new wood for smoothness and thickness) which is carefully prepared and selected before building. Once the frame is built, it's then carefully sanded down just enough to make it smooth to the touch without losing the charm and character that each nook or authentic nail hole provides. Then it's painted in Vintro's premium chalk paint, and then it's finally sanded and distressed by hand until your bed emerges from the raw pile of material. What's left is this beautiful creation that is durable, quiet, solid, and sustainable. The larger beds will certainly have you feeling like royalty.
There is plenty of room to store items underneath the bed as the clearing is 27 cm/10.5 inches and I can make custom under-bed storage boxes on tiny castors that slide in and out to match.
With so many creaky and noisy beds out there, you'll wonder why they were not made as solid as this one. You'll jump in and out of this and barely make a sound especially if you purchase a high-quality foam mattress like Emma mattress or Eve mattress. Frequently Asked Questions
Will I have to pay an import tax when receiving goods as your shop is in the UK?
You may need to pay import tax if your goods are valued at over $800 or more as my humble shop is located in the UK. For standing desks, the top and the electric frame will be coming in two shipments, so the overall total value of the good will be lower as the legs can enter the country duty-free.
ex: You order a complete standing desk (top and frame) and pay $1600. The legs will be valued at around $700, and the top will be valued at $900. Since shipping is included in the price for both items, I can lower the value of both items and allocate shipping fees to the top and leg frame. Now both items will have a lower value, and therefore you may not need to pay import tax.
How much weight can I put on the ladder shelves?
The shelf is robust and will hold a fair amount of weight, but not designed for extremely heavy objects. Books, bowls, potted plants, and things of that nature are all perfectly fine.
Please keep in mind I am referring above to a ladder shelf made from reclaimed pallet wood that leans against a wall. The solid bookcase made from steel and scaffolding I make can hold as much as you can throw at it.
Why is my stuff taking so long to ship?
A majority of the items are handmade and take a lot of effort. Using reclaimed material means time needs to be spent to fetch, dismantle, wash, and sand the material before I can even start a project. For hardwood projects, the wood is in a raw format which means we need to plane it so it's smooth, remove the bark, and sand, and apply several coats of oil to get it just right. If we're talking about resin desks...well, each piece of wood is unique and it takes time (72 hours or more) for the resin to set in between each pour. I don't want you to chase me, but rest assured my tiny team is doing the best we can to deliver top-quality products to you ASAP.
