Behold these genuine Manila rope Monkey's Fist Doorstops. Manila rope is all-natural and made from manila hemp plant. Manila hemp is a type of fiber obtained from the leaves of the abacá found in the Philipines. A monkey's fist knot was traditionally used by sailors to add extra weight at the end of a heaving line, used to throw a cable from ship to shore. Put both of these charming things together and you have one lovely doorstop!
There is no filler or weight inside, it's just 1kg of rope that should hold most doors from swinging closed.
-Natural plant-based Manila rope does not leave beyond fibers
-Heavy enough to hold a door on carpet or tile
-Soft enough that it won't hurt if you kick it
-Can we washed
-String comes in multiple colors
-Rope can be painted to come in a variety of colors

It comes flat-packed in a box and is partially assembled. You will need to loosen 1 screw on each side of the shelf, rotate them into place, and then insert and tighten the provided screws. Get a glass of wine and take 20 minutes to assemble.
The shelf is robust and will hold a fair amount of weight, but not designed for extremely heavy objects. Books, bowls, potted plants, and things of that nature are all perfectly fine.
